SKI Magazine Rebrand

In 2021, as Creative Director, I was charged with rebranding SKI Magazine for a younger, outdoor, and digitally-native audience.

Challenge

For many years, SKI and SKIING effectively covered all ages of the ski demographics. With the closure of media brands representing the younger market in winter sports and the shuttering of many print publications, there was an opportunity for SKI to capture a wider audience segment and a creative opportunity to reimagine the editorial voice and focus. SKI had the chance to create new excitement and interest among skiers who have previously looked elsewhere for inspiration and information.

Execution

As the editorial drivers of SKI content, we set out to inform and inspire anyone who wanted to join the global community of skiers. Through verbal and visual storytelling, and impactful coverage of issues facing our industry, we believe skiing, and being in the mountains, can inspire, challenge, and enliven the soul.

Impact
  • 250% increase in online traffic following rebrand

  • 3x increase in brand attribution after brand refresh
